Executive Summary & Performance Verdict

The Ride1Up Roadster V3 redefines the lightweight urban e-bike category by eliminating the bulky, industrial look of traditional electric bikes. Weighing in at just 44.1 lbs, the Roadster V3 maintains the sleek geometry of a classic track frame while housing a removable, integrated 360Wh Samsung cell battery pack inside the downtube.

Motor Output & Hill Climb Dynamics

Unlike its predecessor, the Roadster V3 steps up to a custom 500W angled-gear Mivice hub motor capable of pushing 50Nm of torque. Power delivery is governed by Ride1Up’s Intui-Drive torque sensor, which samples rider pedal force hundreds of times per second. During our 12% grade hill climb test, the motor delivered progressive assistance without the jerky cadence latency common in entry-level commuters.

Real-World Range & Battery Telemetry

Equipped with high-density 21700 Samsung cells rated at 36V 10Ah (360Wh capacity), the Roadster V3 achieved a verified 34.2 miles on Pedal Assist Level 2 across mixed city elevation. On Boost Mode (PAS 4), maximum sustained assist reached Class 3 speeds of 28 MPH with an effective range of 21.8 miles.

Chassis, Componentry & Stopping Distance

Stopping power is handled by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes clamping 160mm rotors, stopping the 44 lb bike from 20 MPH in just 14.2 feet. Drivetrain configurations include a whisper-quiet single-speed Gates Carbon Belt Drive or a 10-speed Shimano setup for varied terrain. Schwalbe G-One 700x45c gravel tires come tubeless-ready, offering exceptional cornering grip and puncture resistance on city asphalt.
